Job description

The Nurse Practitioner - Director is a pivotal leader in a community health setting, overseeing a small nursing team while providing expert clinical care. This role emphasizes patient assessment, medication management, and care coordination, with specific oversight of IV and Injections. The Nurse Practitioner - Director operates independently with minimal local travel, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and fostering collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Proficiency with electronic medical record systems such as Epic and Cerner is essential to maintain accurate patient documentation and support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to guide treatment planning
  • Manage medication regimens and monitor patient outcomes effectively
  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Supervise and mentor a small nursing team (1-5 staff) to ensure clinical excellence
  • Provide clinical oversight for IV and Injection Therapy
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
  • Document patient information accurately using EMR systems such as Epic and Cerner
  • Facilitate Good Faith Exams and telehealth services
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license

  • Minimum 2 years of nurse practitioner practice experience
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner program completion
  • Advanced skills in patient assessment, medication management, and treatment planning
