Labor & Employment Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a successful full-service boutique law firm in the San Fernando Valley. We are in search of an experienced Labor & Employment attorney to come into the office as needed in the Woodland Hills, California area. We are a very digital-focused law firm so you will have flexibility with your schedule and only come into the office as needed. 

You will be responsible for managing your caseload, providing expert legal counsel, and advocating for our clients in various legal proceedings. Your primary focus due to the complexity of our firm's caseload, a strong foundation in litigation is essential as you may encounter exposure to other areas of law. Our firm handles various types of litigation, including business, commercial, franchise, merger acquisitions, environmental, business formation, construction, and petroleum. 

• Manage a caseload consisting of Employment Law ranging in PAGA, Group Actions, Arbitration, Harassment, Wage/Hour, and Discrimination
• Conduct legal research to stay updated on labor and employment laws, regulations, and precedents. Analyze case law and statutes to develop legal strategies.
• Meet with clients to assess their needs, provide legal advice, and discuss potential legal actions. Maintain effective communication and client relationships.
• Manage a caseload of labor and employment litigation cases. Handle all aspects of case development, from initial filing through resolution, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. 
• Present arguments effectively and advocate for clients' interests.
• Conduct and oversee the discovery process, including depositions, document production, and witness interviews. Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods when appropriate, striving for favorable outcomes for our clients.
• Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing trial strategies, and collaborating with legal support staff and expert witnesses.
• Guide clients on labor and employment compliance issues, ensuring they adhere to federal and state laws and regulations.
• Review employment agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and protect the interests of our clients.
• Stay informed about changes in labor and employment law, and educate clients on legal developments that may impact their businesses.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and a valid California state bar membership.
• 3+ years of experience as a labor and employment litigation attorney.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws, regulations, and court procedures.
• Exceptional research, legal writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated success in handling a variety of labor and employment litigation cases.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management abilities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload efficiently.

• Blue Cross PPO, Silver, we pay 100% for employees, and employees pay for dependents.

• We pay start bar dues and all CLE.

• Billable's 1800
• Base Compensation: $120,000 - $180,000 
• Additional Attorney Compensation
• Quarterly Bonuses
• Come into the office as needed. Once or twice a month
