Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP (FDT) is seeking a full-time, on-site, Traditional Labor Law Attorney. Located in Uniondale, New York, the Labor Law Attorney will handle labor and employment matters, including advising clients on compliance with labor regulations, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, drafting employment agreements, and representing clients in labor disputes in courts, before government agencies and in the collective bargaining arena. The position requires conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, attending hearings and collaborating with clients to develop effective legal strategies.

We are seeking someone with 8 years+ experience in areas including Collective Bargaining, Labor Relations, NLRA and RLA issues, and Management/Union arbitrations, as well as, Fair Labor Standards Act, ERISA and work place discrimination matters.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Labor Law, Labor Law Regulations and Employment Law, including familiarity with compliance and collective bargaining processes;
  • Skills in Legal Research, Drafting Legal Documents, and Litigation;
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and advisory skills;
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously;
  • Licensed to practice law in New York State;
  • Experience representing clients in labor and employment disputes before federal and state courts, NLRB, NMB, EEOC, State Divisions of Human Rights and State and Federal Departments of Labor;
  • Portable business a plus, but not required.

Salary Range

$175,000 to $250,000+ depending on experience and portable business.
