Job Description
Assistant Director

Roles:

Versatile Team Player: Be prepared to
take on any position within the building, ensuring seamless operations and
exceptional care for our children.

Collaborative Partner: Work closely with fellow educators and administrators to create a supportive and inclusive
learning environment.

Engaged Communicator: Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication and updates about
their child's progress.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director in managing daily operations of the preschool.
  • Supervise teaching staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing curriculum and educational programs.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing standards.
  • Oversee enrollment procedures and communicate with parents regarding admissions, scheduling, and concerns.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with the Director and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Conduct staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Serve as a liaison between the preschool and external stakeholders, such as community organizations and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts and addressing issues that arise among staff, parents, or students.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Familiarity with state regulations and licensing requirements for preschools.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Passion for working with young children and dedication to their growth and development.
