Summary:

Yates Industries is in search of an IT Help Desk Technician that can promote team collaboration using best practices around a specific focus area to drive results and enhance operational efficiencies. There is a constant endeavor to benchmark against best-in-class industry standards to improve the quality of deliverables, increase cost savings, enhance productivity, and reduce time to market for products and applications.

This position will be responsible for working closely with all Yates business units, project teams and internal/external groups to manage the applications infrastructure processes and environments.

In this role, the IT Help Desk Technician will be required to have proficiency in formulating IT strategies, communication, and resource planning to support business units demands and consumption of IT services across Yates Divisions.

This position will be responsible for strengthening the synergies between the various divisions with E tools. Commonality of programs and processes will be of the up most importance, this is including metrics and measurables as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install new computers and hard drives to replace existing older units
  • Trouble shoot operating systems when they go down and as needed.
  • Install new desktop computer systems as required
  • Install monitors and printers
  • Plan and implement security measures to protect computer networks and systems.
  • Responsible for evaluating, testing, installing, troubleshooting, and configuring all hardware and software components to ensure usability, including documentation of all with proper licensing.
  • Responsible for mobile device management.
  • Responsible for camera surveillance systems, including troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for Office 365 systems, including one drive, SharePoint, backup, etc.
  • Responsible for various IT projects with migrating to the cloud, handling network scenarios, cylinder configurator, barcoding, etc.
  • Assist Computer Systems Architect.
  • Develop productive relationships with business leaders and application managers across the organization to influence how applications can enable new sources of value.
  • Define and enhance methodologies and practices for the infrastructure and application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement.
  • Work with product management to implement and manage application product roadmaps status reporting, metrics, and benchmarks.
  • Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they meet the needs of the organization in a cost-effective manner.
  • Conduct regular surveys of stakeholder satisfaction with application products, publish the results and, where necessary, implement action plans to improve satisfaction.
  • Communicates objectives and concepts internally and externally.
  • Ensures that the various Infrastructure Portfolio Management roles across IT technical domains and teams have adequate resources to execute in a way that conforms with best practices and meets the needs of the organization.
  • Champions awareness and acceptance of the Infrastructure Portfolio Management processes among IT senior management.
  • Obtains business and IT senior management support for the Infrastructure Portfolio Management processes and its associated procedures.
  • Liaises with other process owners to establish integration and collaboration (such as incident, problem, change, request, problem, configuration, and release management, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources.
  • Proven experience in modernizing production environments to deliver higher resilience, availability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Proven experience in application and datacenter modernization initiatives.
  • Proficiency in process formulation and communication.
  • Strong analytical and business management skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and ITSM Processes.
  • Strong understanding of application life cycle Processes.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and Cloud operational processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with various geographically diverse associates and vendor partners.
  • Demonstrated on-time and on-budget system delivery skills and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of organization policies and procedures.

**Travel requirements: Occasional domestic travel up to 33%. More realistically it will be around 5-10%.**

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Networking skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer issues
  • Photography and editing skills
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Office 365
  • Social media navigation skills
  • Knowledge of IOS devices and Android devices
  • Ability to utilize camera for marketing

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Access, SugarCRM, Microsoft Outlook, Oracle Java, 2003-2012 Server, SQL, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Docs, Adobe Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, Configurator design software, networking software, database programming, network troubleshooting/maintenance, and virus protection software.
