Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and verify all invoices and perform 3-way P.O. match for appropriate documentation
Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving invoice or payment discrepancies
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions and correspond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices
Assist in monthly closing activities
Prepare analysis of accounts, as required
Review and process credit card bills
Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions
Provide supporting documentation for yearly audit

MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent
2-3 years of related experience

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills and data analysis
Ability to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Proficient in basic mathematical skills
Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Possess strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidential information
Must be able to work independently with limited direction
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to prioritize and manage time and work projects effectively
