Director of Maintenance and Engineering

Looking for an experienced Maintenance Director to help fix and maintain our Atlanta Region Burger King Locations!

The ideal candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage a turnaround situation, to motivate a high performing team and make sure each repair and maintenance item is done with effort and care. This is a Full time exempt position, employee must be available on nights and weekends to manage and coordinate emergency calls. Must have one or more relevant certification(s) such as: HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, etc. This position requires admin work and field repair work with regular traveling.

Compensation and Benefits: 100-120k/year depending on experience, lucrative turnaround bonus program, plus full benefits and 401k after 1 year of employment

This includes but is not limited to: mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and air conditioning system maintenance if the candidate is HVAC certified. Must have a valid drivers license and insurance, and clean driving record.

Experience and Character Requirements

· 5+ years of experience leading a repair and maintenance team in restaurants

· Experience with admin using a maintenance tracking system (we use Ecotrak)

· Experience hiring and training maintenance employees

· Takes the time to make sure all corrective fixes are as thorough as possible (lasting)

· HVAC and/or Electrical Certification

· Team player and problem solver! Must be able to prioritize, organize, and delegate.

· Loves to learn! Has record of being adaptable and efficient - learning new equipment

· Must have a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license and insurance and own vehicle to drive as backup when needed

· Must be proficient in the English language (listen, write, speak), bilingual Spanish is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with company policies and procedures, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with arms and hands
• Must be able to maintain balance to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours a day in environment with hazards including slippery (wet or icy) floors, rooftops, sharp equipment, and waist level kitchen hazards including fryers and stove tops
• Ability to execute frequent repetitive physical motions such as walking, bending, reaching above head, reaching at waist level, reaching below waist, button pushing, for up to 10 hours a day
