Job Description

What you will do:

  • Directs and assists the team in preparing accurate and timely internal financial statements for multiple entities by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and other departments and properties.
  • Reviews and audits inputted accounting data and entries verifying accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
  • Reviews or prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; and reconciling accounts.
  • Reviews or prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; and reconciling cash accounts.
  • Answers accounting and financial reporting questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting with strict deadlines, Budgeting, and Ad hoc reporting. Work with external auditors and comply with requests.
  • Handle specific HR duties and oversee timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Recruit and build a team of accounting professionals at the highest level of excellence.

What you will have:

  • Accounting degree required.
  • 10+ years of accounting/leadership experience
  • Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with a property management ERP system such as Rent Manager or Yardi.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Construction/development experience is a plus.
