Creative Lead

As part of WEBTOON’s marketing team, the Creative Lead will oversee, support and build a multidisciplinary team of creatives responsible for creating all marketing materials with an emphasis on performance marketing. Your team will be comprised of designers and video editors, to establish in-house support across the organization. You have an innate eye for design, a strong affinity for business strategy especially in the app/mobile space, and an undying curiosity for what’s next in storytelling meets technology. You’re excited to test and experiment and learn and improve. You thrive in fast-paced, demanding, constantly evolving environments so the role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
You will:
- Be an inspirational leader for the multidisciplinary creative team, with a focus on performance marketing for all new, current and completed WEBTOON series
- Manage production of large quantities of creative assets to use for the performance marketing campaign and testing
- Craft, ideate and conceptualize amazing, disruptive, diverse ads that punch through the clutter
- Marry creative and performance analysis, to continuously optimize efficiencies
- Partner with stakeholders across the company on all projects to foster, strategize content and ensure creative continuity
- Be able to pivot on the fly, be flexible across multiple asset types for multiple series across the service
- Be a leader, example and inspiration for a growing creative department through example-setting and peer influence
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the entire team’s workflow including project and title assignment, quality control, training and coaching
- Participate in the hiring and performance review process for all members of the creative team
- Manage budget expenditures against projections, against scope and provide weekly reports
- Keep up to date with the latest design innovations and cultural trends

Your arsenal:
- You’re adaptable, flexible, nimble and calm with an understanding of how smaller things fit into a much bigger picture
- Experience with various creative verticals including design, graphics, video editing and audio
- Motivated by deep consumer empathy and interested in developing creative that drives behavior
- Must be able to adapt creative styles to fit multiple audiences across a variety of titles and genres
- Able to deliver high quality creative with and without direction
- Excels in high pressure, deadline-oriented, performance-driven environments—is organized, detail-oriented and personable
- 5-7 years people management and creative leadership is required
- Strong understanding of business needs and how it applies to strategy and deliverables
- Master knowledge of Adobe suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. required
- Knowledge of After Effects, compositing, tracking, track mattes, rotoscoping, particle effects, etc. a plus
- MUST be passionate about pop culture (comics, games, films, TV)
