About The LineUp at Wai Kai
The LineUp at Wai Kai is everything you love about Hawaii in an experience that's anything but typical. The LineUp brings the best of the island's activities -- surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, outrigger canoeing, dining, and entertainment -- as attractions never before available in one location, celebrating our deep connection to water. The LineUp is a meeting place for locals, aspiring surfers to pro surfers, and travelers alike. Construction began in October 2020 and is on track for opening early 2023.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to work with us on start-up and on-going sales of Wai Kai and The LineUp at Wai Kai, which includes the worlds' largest standing deep-water surf park, expansive food & beverage operations, water-based activities on the adjacent 52-acre Wai Kai Lagoon, boutique retail store and a wide offering of events and contests. The right candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, sales and marketing expertise, and modern management skills; as well as the leadership qualities to develop an exceptional experience for both the sales and marketing team and the guests.
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Sales ("DOS") is the leader of Sales, which includes group sales, leisure sales, and direct sales at the contact center, on-line, and at the two onsite Guest Services locations at The LineUp at Wai Kai. The DOS will be directly responsible for managing and participating in the development and execution of sales strategies and tactics to achieve the revenue, performance, and guest experience goals of The LineUp at Wai Kai, which is planned to open on February 10, 2023.
SUPERVISORY AND LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:- Partners with Human Resources to attract, develop and retain the staff in the Sales & Guest Services department to develop diverse, high-caliber talent that can lead the organization today and build the leadership bench strength for the future.
- Provides day to day leadership to sales & guest services associates to achieve revenue objectives with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and efficient workflow.

- Ensures that structures, booking systems, processes, jobs, and performance management systems are in place to accomplish the departmental goals in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
