You will collaborate with highly diverse teams, threading together newly developed technologies to create intuitive experiences that enhance people’s experience of the world around them. The ideal candidate is a software engineer with experience in VR, simulation, visualisation or a creative industry (e.g. Video Game, Film VFX). You will bring together innovative design with new technologies (related to 3D applications and games). You have a passion for real-time 3D applications, virtual or augmented reality and enjoy rapid iterative development for products or research.Together, let’s step into the adventure of a lifetime as we make science fiction real, and change the world.
- Design and develop frameworks and foundational features that power cutting-edge AR/VR experiences in areas such as graphics, rendering, performance and asset pipelines.
- Develop prototypes for future AR/VR experiences, drive continued development, and integrate robust solutions into product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, data science, research, design and art teams.
- Write high-quality, performant, and maintainable code.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with C/C++ programming.
- Experience writing rendering code in C/C++/C# that executes on end user devices - such as VR headsets, personal computers, cell phones, or game consoles.
- Experience using or building 3D engines (Unity, Unreal, etc), 3D applications or equivalent
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in the field of Computer Science, Computational Physics, Computer Graphics, Animation or a similar field.
- Experience utilizing graphics concepts, like meshes, materials, shaders, lighting, animation and graphics programming in, e.g., Vulkan, OpenGL, DirectX or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing advanced 3D graphics features such as lighting, effects, shaders and other low-level system
- Experience shipping AAA Games
- Virtual reality experience (Rift, Vive, Go, Gear VR, etc.), AR or MR.
- Experience with mobile CPU/GPU programming
- Experience profiling and optimising game and render performance (GPU and CPU)
- Experience with ultra low-latency networking protocols and socket programming.
