Front Desk Receptionist
Laser and Skin Surgery of New York
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
*Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following.
- Responsible for clerical duties at the reception desk
- Meet & greet patients
- Register patients in the computer
- Scan insurance information
- Scan identification card
- Take photograph of patient
- Have patient register in the Kiosk
- Have patient sign appropriate waivers
- Answer phones, when necessary
- Prepare encounter forms for next day
- Data Entry of patient information
- Escorts patient to appropriate waiting areas
- Brings chart to nursing station
- Update information in computer
- Other job related tasks, as assigned by supervisors and/or chief operating officer
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrates genuine concern for patients
- Ability to multi-task
- Work as a team member
- Organized and strong attention to detail
- Willing to work additional hours, flexible hours and late work schedules
- Treats patients and co-workers with respect
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Two years medical office experience preferred but not required
