JOB OVERVIEW

This role will work closely with all components of the supply chain and will operationalize processes to handle daily shipments while using creative problem solving and innovation to expand our logistics operations across our Care Packages (E-Commerce) channels. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure best in class shipping speeds and costs for package delivery, managing vendor relationships and utilizing data to provide efficient and successful delivery experiences for Milk Bar customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage relationships with logistics partners including FedEx, UPS and regional carriers and assist in the onboarding of new carriers.
Coordinate with a network of third party fulfillment centers to ensure set up of new shipping carriers and help troubleshoot any issues.
Work collaboratively with customer experience and digital teams to understand the voice of the customer to execute shipping decisions.
Develop strategies using national and local carriers to expedite shipments at the lowest possible cost
Analyze data to find efficiencies both in shipment times and in cost and efficacy.
Find new and quicker ways to deliver products to customers using current carriers as well as suggest new carriers to partner with the goal of reducing costs and constantly raising the bar on the delivery experience.
Partner with Supply Chain and Customer Experience teams to remedy shipment issues and strategize on how to communicate logistics to customers.
Collaborate with demand planning to forecast shipping volumes and communicate capacity changes to carriers to accommodate peak volume spikes.
Coordinate with teams to perform regular reviews of each parcel carrier against their SLAs and performance indicators, holding each carrier responsible for delivering the best possible delivery experience for Milk Bar customers with the highest level of consistency and tracking visibility across carriers.
Manage claims and credit process for delayed shipments, ensuring carrier accountability.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

3+ years experience in Logistics, preferably within food and beverage industry
BA/BS in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
Experience leading retail small parcel or package logistics and quality and vendor management
Experience with contract management with large parcel carriers preferred
Ability to analyze and create information from large datasets
Previous experience leading cost reduction initiatives and eliminating quality issues
Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to effectively collaborate with different business leaders internal and external of our organization
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of NetSuite preferred
