ApplyJob Type...Full-timeDescriptionPosition OverviewReporting to the IT Manager, the IT Help Desk Technician's role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes actively resolving end user help requests within our Lathrop facility. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.Job Responsibilities Desktop support and Help Desk ticket routing Configuration, installation and repair of computer hardware and peripherals including but not limited to desktops, laptops, tablets, cell phones, multi-function printers.
Perform Asset Management for hardware and software. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Contribute to and maintain system standards.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for IT Operations tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
Perform monitoring and remediation of Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware on client devices using our current solution. Perform daily low-level Active Directory administration tasks. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
Assist with networking tasks including wiring, switching and capacity planning. Performs other duties as assigned Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure Ensure that required competencies to carry out these job functions affecting product legality, safety and quality are met in accordance with the Quality Policy and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard. Ensure compliance with corporate/plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company's Good Manufacturing Practices.
Other duties as assigned.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications High School education required AS in Computer Science or 2 years' experience CompTIA A+ Certification MCSA, MCP or MCSE a plus Experience using help desk ticketing softwareEquipment Operated: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.Working Conditions: Frequently exposed to wet and varying temperature conditions between 60-130 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noise, vibration, moving machinery/electrical parts, risk of electrical shock, airborne particles, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, allergens including soy, milk and milk by-products and fumes from food processing equipment.While this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the most significant duties of the current position, it is not necessarily exhaustive of all responsibilities, duties, effort, requirements or expectations of this position.
