Lead Pressman

ResourceOne is a diversified print and commercial print. The company consists of professionals dedicated to delivering world-class service in print production, integrated marketing communications, data service, fulfillment and customer support. We are seeking qualified candidates to work in our Web Department and become part of our growing team.

Summary:

To produce quality printed material in a timely manner with minimal waste.

Essential Functions:

• Review job specifications to determine web press set up.
• Convey information on job tickets to crew.
• Inspect plates prior to mounting on press for errors.
• Operates press to ensure optimum quality and efficiency
• Start up press, balance color, obtain reader and rule-out and color o.k. with customer or supervisor.
• Report all information on logic system and time sheet, as needed.
• Maintain quality throughout production
• Report paper and ink problems to shift supervisor.
• Complete plate remake forms as needed.
• Make necessary color corrections and/ or press adjustments prior to production run.
• Update next crew on all pertinent information for a smooth transfer of running job.
• Monitor print quality and follow standard operating procedures relevant to the job.
• Performs periodic maintenance.
• Familiar with a 8 color press

Education and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• Must have a working knowledge in a commercial web press
