Executive Communications Manager - Global Services & Software Sales (GSSS)

What You'll Do In this role you will develop comprehensive executive communication strategies that inform, inspire, and engage employees, customers, and key industry stakeholders. You will make recommendations, synthesize complex information, and integrate data from multiple sources into clear, concise, and relevant messages. You will balance proactive guidance and strategy with flawless execution to become a trusted advisor to the leadership team.

You are an artful writer and skilled strategic communicator who can translate complicated messages into clear, compelling language. You have a strong track record of producing high-quality streamlined speeches and presentations for senior executives, a demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information, and a steadfast eye for quality and detail while working on several projects simultaneously. You need an agile mind and a creative storytelling sensibility and are comfortable taking risks and making suggestions for new ways of doing things.

Responsibilities * Own message platform & narrative for the Global Software and Service Sales business, aligned with the vision of the SVP * Design, build, and implement effective communications strategies and content for C-level executives using a variety of methods and media * Partner with the executive to develop a social media strategy to build brand and presence for the leader and the business * Distill complex information into engaging content for a variety of global audiences * Develop compelling content, including keynotes, internal and customer presentations, social media posts, announcements, and blogs * Work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographies * Develop the executive communications practice to support C-level executives * Support internal organizational announcements * Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications through digital analytics, surveys, and other key performance indicators Who You'll Work With When you work with us, you'll be part of a highly empowered collaborative team who's passionate about the power of communications to build connections within an organization and build bridges with teams external to our organization. Who You Are Qualifications * Track record of success in executive communications, including the design and implementation of comprehensive executive communication programs * Ability to translate multi-dimensional, complex strategies into simple and relatable concepts * Ability to create high-quality work with limited guidance from executives, delivering results calmly and with good judgment in a fast-paced environment * Ability to build trust, confidently interact with executives, and provide insightful counsel * Tact, flexibility, discretion, and integrity are essential qualities * Proven track record as a storyteller * Demonstrated leadership, influence, writing, and editing skills #WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
