The individual is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures as well as streamlining/automating credit and collection processes. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department to achieve goals.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in determining credit worthiness of new & existing customers, maintain credit terms, and manage credit holds.
- Create and implement best practices for managing credit terms and collection activities to make sure there is quality and efficiency throughout the department.
- Develop documentation and procedures for the department and provide oversight and support to the team related to application of policies and procedures.
- Lead and provide oversight for credit and collections day to day operations including workload, process improvements, and performance metric reporting.
- Participate in special projects that will enhance the overall efficiency of the department.
- Main point of contact for escalation of customer account issues.
- Write and deliver performance reviews for each member of the team.
- Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with each member of the team and team meetings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises Credit Analysts and Collection Representatives.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven ability to perform strategic planning
- Proven track record for improving process efficiencies
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports
- Detail oriented with an accounting background
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to reprioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from accredited four-year college preferred.
- Five or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable for this role.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
