Overview

Colin Cowherd’s media company, The Volume, is seeking a freelance Esports/Gaming Show Preditor. This role requires strong knowledge of sports talk formats, Esports, gaming and live streaming, as well as hands-on production and editing experience in project organization, tracking schedules, and delivering on deadlines. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in all aspects of Twitch and Youtube with expertise in gaming and Esports, and is proficient in various programs and platforms used in such production.

The Volume has embraced a "live and work anywhere" policy, so this position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee weekly Volume live show(s) and manage talent and production staff associated to meet production deadlines

  • Collaborate under Head of Production and Head of Digital to take lead in the creative development of upcoming Volume shows

  • Work closely with show talent to build show format, provide directional feedback, generate creative ideas, and facilitate guest bookings

  • Oversee production needs by formatting scripts and show rundowns, managing team assignments, and supervising logistics support through delivery

  • Produce and execute weekly livestreams for various platforms including Twitch and Youtube

  • Edit live streams to VODs for distribution on YouTube

  • Identify and edit newsworthy show moments for social media

  • Source and integrate music into shows along with tracking uses

  • Ensure that all content meets The Volume brand, video, and audio standards

  • Write and edit headlines and text to position multimedia content for maximum engagement across multiple platforms, including social media channels

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience producing and editing unscripted format content

  • Passion for Esports, gaming as well as traditional sports

  • Proficient in a variety of editing software

  • Demonstrated knowledge of web streaming on twitch and Youtube

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills

  • Strong news judgment and ability to work under deadline pressure

  • Experience with content management/online publishing systems

  • Familiarity with best practices on all social media platforms

  • Knowledge of Madden, NBA2K and FIFA is a plus

Logistics

The Esports Show Preditor will be a full remote/virtual experience. You will be asked to participate in regular staff meetings and recordings over Zoom.
