Job Summary/Description:

WAFF 48 is looking for a creative, high-energy Lifestyle Producer/MMJ to produce and shoot content for Tennessee Valley Living, our daily lifestyle show airing Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. This person will be the driving force behind the show, responsible for producing a full hour of engaging local content every weekday, while also shooting and editing editorial segments that bring the Tennessee Valley's people, places, and stories to life. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded storyteller who thrives on deadlines, has a strong eye for lifestyle content, and can seamlessly juggle production duties with fieldwork.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

- Produce the daily one-hour lifestyle program, Tennessee Valley Living, airing Monday-Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Write, organize, and structure daily show rundowns and segments.
- Research and pitch local lifestyle story ideas and trending topics relevant to the Tennessee Valley.
- Collaborate with hosts, producers, and the creative services team to maintain a consistent creative direction and high editorial standard.
- Shoot and edit editorial content and packages for the show.
- Stay current on local events, trends, and pop culture to keep content fresh and relevant.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Prior producing experience required; experience producing a lifestyle, talk, or magazine-style show is a plus.
- Strong writing skills for both broadcast and digital platforms.
- Proficient in shooting and editing video independently (Adobe Premiere, Edius, or similar).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with hosts and other production team members.
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
