Job description


We are looking for a talented Project Assistant - Level III to join our team specializing in Engineering at our facility in Stoughton, WI, US.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Keep projects organized and moving by handling scheduling, documentation, and logistics so the project manager and team can stay focused on higher-level decisions.
• Take ownership of small, well-defined project tasks and deliver them reliably, building trust and freeing up bandwidth for the broader team.
• Improve team efficiency by maintaining clear, up-to-date project records, timelines, and status reports that reduce confusion and miscommunication.
• Act as a communication bridge-ensuring stakeholders stay informed, aligned, and aware of progress, risks, and next steps.
• Identify and track issues early, coordinate with teammates to resolve them, and gradually build the judgment to handle these independently.
• Strengthen project outcomes by supporting budget tracking, research, and data analysis that inform smarter decisions.
• Contribute to risk management by helping flag potential problems and applying basic quality tools to prevent delays or rework.
• Capture and share lessons learned, helping the team continuously improve processes and deliver better results over time.
Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and intentionally-tailor your updates and messages so different audiences (project manager, teammates, stakeholders) each get what they need without confusion or overload.
• Stay focused on the "customer," whether that's an external client or internal stakeholder, by understanding their needs and making sure your work supports useful, practical outcomes.
• Get comfortable working through complexity-projects won't always be clean or logical, so your ability to organize messy information into clear next steps will make you valuable.
• Handle conflict calmly and constructively by focusing on solutions, not personalities, and helping keep conversations productive.
• Be disciplined about planning and prioritization so your tasks-and the pieces of the project you support-stay aligned with deadlines and larger business goals.
• Show resourcefulness by figuring things out, finding the right people or tools quickly, and making progress even when you don't have perfect direction.
• Build strong fundamentals in project execution: track risks and issues, manage timelines, support scope clarity, and help monitor budget/resources so nothing slips through the cracks.
• Value different perspectives and collaborate well-projects run better when you actively include input from others and adapt your approach based on what the team needs.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
College or equivalent degree preferred.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
