Job description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager for our client located near Albany, NY to oversee and manage individual construction projects from inception to completion. 

 

Responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:

  • Plan, estimate, procure, and execute all assigned construction projects from pre-construction services to close-out and follow-     up. Ensure quality and timely outcomes that align with company policies and goals.
  • Supervise Project Superintendents and on-site personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork while appraising performance and         offering guidance and leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and maintaining a professional                     relationship.
  • Build and manage project schedules, track expenses, meet budget goals, prepare reports, and oversee financial aspects,                 including cost-to-complete reports and unpaid invoice follow-ups.
  • Review and approve submittals, oversee safety and regulatory compliance, and ensure all aspects of projects meet internal           and client standards.
  • Lead project teams during pre-construction and GMP document phases, perform quantity take-offs, and generate bid                   packages to define and assign work scopes.
  • Attend client meetings, provide updates, and communicate necessary changes to project plans.

Qualifications of the Project Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications preferred).           Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction or project management.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction industry software.
  • 10-Hour OSHA Safety Card certification (minimum requirement).
  • Exceptional skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and team management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
  • Proven track record of successful project completion and team leadership.
  • Familiarity with modern construction industry best practices and technologies.

 

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $100,000 - $125,000, DOE.
