Job description

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Business Systems Analyst II to serve as an Agile Scrum/Kanban Development team member providing solutions for business systems needs and understanding business objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities to formulate, define, document, and implement systems scope and objectives to develop and provides solutions. Specific duties include: responsible for profiling, analyzing and documenting the technical requirements for their assigned Agile team backlog; master complex data transformations concepts, including data warehousing principles; work to capture requirements in a formal manner; coordinate and drive activities with product owners and business stakeholders to refine prioritized backlog and gather requirements; document appropriate detailed functional and non-functional requirements; identify data most valuable to the organization and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model; manage business rules to enhance and optimize filtering results; use requirements management tools and techniques; support development, testing, implementation, and training activities; apply delivery approaches; perform, independently, business analysis processes in accordance with Zurich frameworks; work with Insurance application system design/analysis using Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques; and generate adhoc data reports for the business users to address data related questions from business users. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Senior Manager, Senior Software Engineer, or similar position analyzing business systems. Must have 7 years of experience working with each of the following: process re-engineering; process modeling tools; LEAN/Six Sigma; Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools and techniques; use case development; insurance business processes; insurance application system design and analysis; data warehousing applications; data warehousing or ETL Testing; Informatica ETL; technical data analysis on complex enterprise projects; SQL writing for data analysis and data review; and technical documentation. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $160,555.
