Job Description Technical Business Systems Analyst Location: Tampa, FL Duration: 24 Months Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr Job Overview: We are seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise IT initiatives within a large utility environment. This role will work closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements, support system implementations, manage testing activities, and ensure solutions align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, technical documentation, testing coordination, and enterprise system integrations within fast-paced IT environments.

Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) Support technical mapping, process modeling, and gap analysis Collaborate with development and architecture teams on solution design Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution Utilize Azure DevOps to manage backlogs, user stories, and sprint activities Support SDLC project delivery using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis Analyze data and support reporting and dashboard development Partner with stakeholders across business and IT teams to support project delivery Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Technical BSA Experience working in large enterprise IT environments Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills Experience with RTMs, test plans, test cases, and test scripts Experience with Azure DevOps or similar lifecycle management tools Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle Understanding of APIs, middleware, and system integrations Strong SQL skills and reporting experience Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred Preferred Qualifications Utility or energy industry experience Experience with GIS systems or Smartsheet Experience supporting large-scale system implementations CBAP, PMI-PBA, or ITIL certifications preferred Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
