Business Systems Analyst

Full-time Regular Technical Eden Prairie, MN, US

Salary Range: $72,700.00 To $100,000.00 Annually

Position Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is a strategic thinker and problem solver who bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions. With a deep understanding of systems, processes, and data, this role plays a critical part in operational support, optimizing, and implementing solutions that improve operational efficiency, support business growth, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams, the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business challenges, troubleshooting issues and resolving them and opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to define, document, and validate business and system requirements.
  • Analyze, document, and troubleshoot operational issues monitoring the incident management system.
  • Lead and support incident root cause analysis, problem resolution, and ITIL-based change management activities and respond to incidents logged in via ITSM
  • Design and document business processes, use cases, system flows, process maps, and data models to support solution development and implementation.
  • Participate in planning, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of enterprise applications and business systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying efficiencies, reducing risks, and enhancing system capabilities whilst leveraging Artificial Intelligence and automation.
  • Ensure solutions meet business requirements while maintaining data integrity, compliance standards, and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technology support service, business systems analysis, or a related analyst role working with an ERP
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional system solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications and cross-functional business processes.

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with ERP technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, JD Edwards (JDE), SAP, or equivalent enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows, and business application architecture.

Methodologies

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL practices, including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Experience with business analysis methodologies, process improvement, and project delivery frameworks.

Business Acumen

  • Broad understanding of business functions including finance, manufacturing, inventory management, supply chain, order-to-cash, work management, and customer relationship processes.

Analytical Skills

  • Ability to create and maintain process maps, use cases, system flow diagrams, root cause analysis and business requirements documentation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work collaboratively across departments and organizational levels.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus in support of business objectives.

Reports to: Manager, Business Systems

Working Conditions

This position is based at Miller Milling and works closely with business and technology teams to support enterprise systems, process improvements, and strategic initiatives across the organization. IT is a shared service between Miller Milling USA and Rogers Foods Canada, and the job responsibilities will be applied to both companies. Some travel between facilities for both organizations will be required.

Salary & Benefits:

The expected compensation range for this position is $72,600-$100,000, which includes annual base pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Position is eligible for variable incentive pay in accordance with performance in accordance with an annual bonus plan. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).

Work location:

Hybrid Eligible in office Tuesday-Thursday (Job Duties allow for some remote work but requires travel to Eden Prairie, MN office)

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international
