Job Summary: The Lead Epic Analyst will perform multiple complex technology activities that support the EHR systems throughout the WMCHealth network. The Lead Analyst provides technical and operational expertise for the development, implementation, management and support of Information Services initiatives throughout the WMCHealth network. Ensures the performance, integrity and reliability of system components and oversees complex specialized technology. Requires extensive experience working with    enterprise systems, as well as, the applicable clinical and/or business workflows. Collaborates with appropriate technical and operational leaders from affiliated institutions.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to assigned system(s), and provides technical informational support to Information Services staff as well as end users.  Provides consultation on projects and is considered to be a technical expert for assigned system(s).
  • Researches, plans, and designs interfaces between a wide variety of systems to support the clinical and business needs of hospitals and physician organizations. Works with other members of the team to inform on the prioritization and delivery dates.  Develops, tests, documents, and implements changes and enhancements to existing interfaces, support scripts, or other changes to the interface engine environment.
  • Participate in key user committees to identify business requirements and recommend solutions which conform to organizational goals and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provides business related and technical design guidance to other IS staff in the development and support of other IS systems. Provide technical assistance to other staff members. If Clinical oversees the technical design, implementation, analysis, and modifications of new/existing programs and systems to support the clinical, corporate and technical operations across all facilities.
  • Develop, implement and oversee the advanced technical activities for the most complex Information Services initiatives. Provides technical support to Information Services staff as well as end users. Provide project leadership with the implementation of new applications and systems.
  • Creates and maintains accurate and current documentation regarding application(s) supported by the team. Participates in the maintenance of training materials and disseminates materials to users. Reviews documentation and training materials prepared by fellow analysts.
  • Design a highly maintainable and scalable software architecture that can support rapid changes in a high-quality fashion. Develop technical design documents to describe and support justification of the chosen architecture and proposed implementation.
  • Monitors system performance and response times. Recommends performance improvements, and provides reports to users and management as required.
  • Acts as visionary and strategist for the solution product area. Develops and executes solution strategies that support product growth and agility.
  • Assists in the day-to-day oversight and management of the team as needed.
  • Surveys the market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors, and methods.
  • Provides mentoring, training and other resources to fellow analysts, as well as, maintains a favorable work environment for all team members and clients. Oversees the instruction, direction and inspection of assignments for fellow analysts.
  • Ability to support product delivery from concept inception to operational support. Ability to provide quality, procedural, systematic management.
  • Interfaces and coordinates tasks with internal and external technical resources. Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop an overall implementation solution plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts.
  • Maintains current knowledge of a field.  Keeps abreast of emerging technological advancements of computerization and automation.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of related work experience, required

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, required
  • Master’s degree in statistics or biostatistics, preferred

Licenses / Certifications:  

  • EPIC Module Certification in job-related module(s) is required to be obtained within 6 months and renewed quadrennial
  • PMP certification, preferred
