Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Programmer Analyst to support the Information Technology team in Hazelwood, Missouri! This role will support the Aerospace Composite Center (ACC). The Aerospace Composite Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing's Fighter Programs.

We are seeking a skilledinformation and application developerto join our team supporting the diverseInformation Technology ecosystem within the ACC domain. This role is a critical enabler for work supporting the production of several of Boeing's key defense products.

As thelead developer, you will design, develop, and support a portfolio of enterprise applications that enableMRP/ERP and manufacturing operations. You will lead end-to-end delivery of highly complex software solutions-spanning requirements and end-user process analysis, application architecture, coding, integration, testing, implementation, documentation, and production support. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across a diverse application suite and partner closely with end users to improve business processes, system reliability, and application security.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform the design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of highly complex computing applications and software system architectures

  • Initiate and lead analysis of end-user processes to define application requirements; translate business needs into scalable, supportable technical solutions

  • Define application and architecture specifications, including software compatibility parameters, security requirements, and operational support needs

  • Design application architecture and integrate application software with database and delivery subsystems for specific solutions

  • Write, compile, and review highly complex code based on documented designs; establish and enforce coding, documentation, and quality standards

  • Provide escalation support for complex application and architecture issues; lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions

  • Lead and coordinate teams that develop and maintain a diverse suite of applications; mentor engineers and drive execution across priorities

  • Lead development of training materials and user enablement; identify and deliver continuous improvements to system architecture and support processes

  • Support and implementAPIandfile-based integrationsacross enterprise systems

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)

  • Strong proficiency inJava

  • 4+ years' experience withCOBOLin an enterprise environment

  • Strong experience withOracledatabases

  • Perlscripting experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing and supportingMRP/ERPsystems

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams responsible for development and sustainment of a diverse suite of applications

  • Strong leadership skills, including cross-functional collaboration and technical decision-making

  • Strong documentation skills (technical design/writing, operational runbooks, user/support documentation)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • StrongSQLskills; experience with stored procedures (Oracle PL/SQLpreferred)

  • Experience with Manufacturing Quality Systems (QMS)

  • Experience with Workforce Management and/or Time & Attendance applications

  • Experience with material tracking systems

  • Experience delivering and supportingAPIand file-based integrations in enterprise environments
