Job Title:
Systems Programmer Analyst
Department:
Information Services
Job Description:
The Systems Programmer Analyst reports to the Director of Infrastructure and Enterprise Applications. The Systems Programmer Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the enterprise systems. This role supports the college's existing HR, Finance, Payroll, Student, Financial Aid, and Student Account software.
This position is required to work onsite at Rhodes College, located in Memphis, TN. This is NOT a remote opportunity.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Manages system change requests, coordinates testing, implements security changes.
  • Assists colleagues in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting core business applications, databases, and other information systems.
  • Coordinates the availability of reporting data and supporting reporting tools used on campus.
  • Extends our existing internal technical documentation and assists in training administrators and end users with how to use the various systems.
  • Maintains Campus Partnerships with various offices that use enterprise systems.
  • Works with functional users and supporting partners to develop and support integrations between on- and off-premises systems, including authentication.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with data integration maintenance and administration is required.
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new data integrations across a variety of systems.
  • Ability to communicate with self-awareness, sensitivity, and professionalism in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and be self-motivated to work independently and follow-through to meet department deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to deliver high-level customer service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience supporting workplace diversity and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years of work experience with IT with administrative software systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new data integrations across a variety of systems.
  • Experience with Workday strongly preferred.
  • Experience with troubleshooting system problems and command line skills strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management methodology and ability to both lead, and participate in, projects.
  • Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Agile software development using JIRA, Confluence or other collaboration tools.
  • Experience configuring and supporting SAML2-based authentication methods.
