ACADEMIC RHEUMATOLOGIST FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Wake Forest Baptist Health seeks a dynamic and experienced Rheumatologist to join the Section on Rheumatology in the Department of Internal Medicine and the Musculoskeletal Center of Excellence to serve as the program director of the rheumatology fellowship. The Section on Rheumatology has a longstanding fellowship training program and is seeking to expand its footprint across the core academic missions of teaching, patient care, and research. Candidates should have a demonstrable track record of excellence in teaching fellows, internal medicine residents, and/or students. Prior experience in clinical research and/or clinical trials is desirable. This is an open-rank, faculty opportunity, with the ideal candidate possessing the following qualifications:
- Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Rheumatology
- Five years of experience in training rheumatology fellows and/or internal medicine residents and meet ACGME requirements to serve as a fellowship program director
- Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure or current medical license holder
- Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with candidate's prior experience
