Job Description

Search: We are currently looking for a hands-on, commanding and highly energetic personality possessing strong organizational, team building, and leadership skills to help lead the daily production at our Dallas

food service facility focused on educational catering.

 

Responsibilities:

* Motivate and help develop strong fundamental skills.

* Maintain a positive working relationship and treat all employees with respect while providing them

with direction and feedback.

* Insure that crew members work at a pace that maintains established output and timely completion.

* Insure recipes are prepared accurately.

* Maintain mandatory kitchen logs guiding food product safety programs (HACCP) as well as

environmental (kitchen and related areas) safety programs.

* Participating in the control of food and labor costs.

* Insures that work areas are clean at all times

* Communicate employee performance as well as policy/procedure violations to management for

appropriate handling.

* Strictly adherence to all company policies and procedures (especially HACCP)

* Must be willing to work in the late afternoon and/or early evening.

Qualifications:

* Passion for the quality production of menu items and the self-expectation of providing quality service.

* Ability to energize and motivate others towards a high level of morale and completion of goals.

* Ability to work within a management team, supporting, and even challenging, other members of the

team to reach production goals.

* Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without

assistance.

* Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

* Should be proficient and knowledgeable of procedures for all kitchen stations.

* Experience in the control of food and labor costs.

* Hand-on food service or like experience. Culinary degree a plus but not necessary.

 

A Good Match:

The best candidate(s) will have at least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a comparable food-service environment and bring lots of energy to our workplace. Bilingual is a plus!
