Medical Records & Coding Specialist - Central State Hospital

JOB DESCRIPTION: Central State Hospital is looking for an experienced MEDICAL RECORDS AND CODING SPECIALIST. Under general supervision this position provides professional support in the medical records department including: * Accurate and timely transcription of the official medical record * Filing and scanning medical record documentation * Billing, reimbursement, analyzing and preparing revenue reports, and database maintenance * Classifies and codes disease and illness in accordance with regulations specified by various accrediting agencies REQUIRED: * 1-2 years experience in medical records * At least 1 year of medical coding experience * EMR experience with Meditech preferred * Strong organizational skills * Ability to Multi-task * Medical terminology * Strong computer skills * Excellent communication skills * Attention to detail * Bachelor s Degree in related field preferred but not required TIME TYPE:Full time Delivering Care that Changes People's Lives starts with our employees.
