Your Role:

Our successful Convention Services Manager promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • College degree in related field or two years of related experience in lieu.
  • Three years of sales or experience as an event planner or CSM.
  • Meet with client and take turnover of business from sales team members.
  • Conduct site inspections and client presentations.
  • Keep in touch with clients via means such as phone calls, emails, letters, and in person meetings.
  • Respond to inquiries within a day.
  • Maintain and log all client communications and needs.
  • Manage information in Delphi.
  • Develop menus and price specialty menus with Executive Chef.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to upsell.
  • Develop and communicate banquet event orders (BEOs) and changes to BEOs.
  • Work with banquet department to ensure event execution runs smoothly.
  • Interface with other departments (i.e. AV, Facilities, Saratoga Club) as necessary to meet the needs of the guest.
  • Work with outside vendors to coordinate them on-site.
  • Required to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
