Job description
We are currently seeking a senior-level accounting professional to join our accounting and finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their skills in an aggressive, fast-paced and rapidly growing trading environment.
Job Description
Prepare SEC filings and disclosures (10-Q, 10-K and 8-K)
• Review quarterly and year-end SEC filings
• Prepare consolidated financial statements
• Ensure GAAP compliance
• Research various technical accounting areas
• Work with external auditors during annual/quarterly audits
• Assist with the monthly close process (journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.)
• Work on ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required: CPA preferred
• 3+ years of public or corporate accounting experience
• Previous experience working in trading firms, hedge funds, or other similar asset management firms required
• Must have strong experience creating reports in Excel
• Previous experience working with Great Plains preferred
• Must have strong knowledge of GAAP
• Must be very detail oriented
• Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and be flexible to handle changing priorities
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
