Job Description

Responsible for coordinating food service activities of restaurant by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Reviews the general business climate for the restaurant and adjusts staff and inventories as needed.*
2. Accommodates and documents the needs of customers; communicates these needs to the staff to ensure guest satisfaction.*
3. Ensures customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality food, courteous employees and quick response to needs.*
4. Establish and control the weekly work schedule for staff.*
5. Scheduled and oversee all employee meetings.*
6. Inspects food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation
regulations.*
7. Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.*
8. Maintains a program for sound employee relations and safety of all employees.*
9. Oversees and monitors portion control standards of food and beverages for the staff.*
10. Schedules monthly staff and other company meetings/trainings as required.*
11. Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, make hiring
and termination decisions, and evaluate employee performance.*
12. Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of
company policies, rules and procedures.*
13. Monitor employee and guest activities to ensure laws/regulations are obeyed.
14. Schedule use of facilities or catering services for events such as banquets or receptions.
15. Work with marketing manager to implement restaurant marketing, advertising, and
promotional campaigns.
16. Work with Sales Manager to schedule staff and coordinate production for all offsite
catering events.
17. Monitor use of company vehicles and ensure preventative maintenance is being
followed.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises all restaurant staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
