Cafeteria Cashier

Term of Appt: Relief on call Monday - Friday, as needed

Reporting to: Campus Administrator

Salary:

Classification 4, $21.33 - 21.99/hr, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees also receive an additional $0.50/hr. in lieu of benefits, as well as having 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay.

Description:

Northern Lights College is seeking a temporary, relief on call cafeteria cashier for our Fort St John campus. The cafeteria cashier will be responsible to operate the cash register and provide exceptional customer service to our patrons. The successful candidate will stock display coolers, clean tables, and work areas, gather and sort bottles and cans for recycling, make coffee and assist in food preparation and catering. When necessary the cafeteria cashier will provide assistance to both the Manager and the Cook in carrying out their duties (eg. Cleaning, storing foods, etc.)

Shift schedule may fall in between Monday - Friday, from 10:00am - 1:00pm daily.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of grade 12; Food Safe and experience in the retail or food industry operating a point-of-sale system is required. Excellent communication and customer services skills are a must.
