The Certification Specialist I position works in collaboration with the Customer Operations, Exam Development and Program Compliance departments. The Certification Specialist I must consistently demonstrate a thorough understanding of exam processing, development, security, and administration procedures. This will be displayed by following departmental procedures, responsiveness, quality, follow-through, and the ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner. This role is in a fast-paced environment and requires extensive data entry that must be completed efficiently, accurately and within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities:

  • Works as part of Certification team to accomplish Association goals.
  • Assists the Certification Supervisor to accomplish departmental goals.
  • Supports all internal team members and departments following the Association mission and values while promoting Association culture.
  • Efficient and accurate processing and sending of exams, answer sheets and certificates within established timeframes.
  • Extensive knowledge and practice of exam security violations, examination administration policies and exam processing processes/procedures.
  • Efficient and accurate data entry of exam, proctor/instructor, and examinee information
  • Maintains high level of security of exams and personal examinee and proctor/instructor data at all times.
  • Research and resolve situations where identified tasks are outside of the normal processing timeframe
  • Handles internal and external customer and vendor requests in a professional, customer-focused, and timely manner.
  • Assists other members of the Certification team when needed.
  • Additional projects/tasks assigned by the Certification Supervisor.


Responsibilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in data entry or general office administration.
  • Skills to effectively work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Versatility and Multi-tasking are required.
  • Specifically, proven experience in completing repetitive task with a high degree of accuracy required.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required. Capacity to communicate with customers and staff required. This includes the ability to communicate technical and complex information.
  • Ability to maintain punctuality, while adhering to the assigned work schedule required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality or work records and projects.
  • Proficiency in computer programs (e.g. Microsoft office). Act with integrity, honor, and character.
  • You will bring enthusiasm, collaborative work style, inquisitive attitude, flexibility, creativity, focus on excellence, and overall "great to work with" demeanor.
  • Travel required: No travel is required for this position.
  • Hours may fluctuate moderately to accommodate business activity. Schedules are subject to change based on organizational needs. There may be occasions that require overtime.
  • Environmental Conditions: Work is primarily performed within a cubicle. Subject to standard background noise found in an office environment.
