General Manager (Fine Dining)

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to help drive our organization. Reporting to the owner of the restaurant, the job holder will oversee the daily operations and provide outstanding customer dining experience. Successful candidate must have 3 years + experience in restaurant management, experience in running a bar with liquor license is a strong asset!

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of front of house staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and general supervision, providing excellent leadership support to the team.
• Providing excellent customer service to guests.
• Flowing the online orders whenever it comes in
• Oversee that all opening and closing duties of the restaurant are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained.
• Responsible for daily deposits, and the correct operation of the POS systems
• Balancing of all daily and nightly cash drawers and POS
• Inventory and maintenance of par levels for front of house items and those used.
• Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards in their area.
• Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines.
• Help with the company's business approach, build customer pool, planning events.
• Other duties assigned

Job Terms

• Job Type: Permanent Full-time
• Work Location: 30 St. Patrick Street, Toronto, ON M5T 3A3
• Shift Requirement: 4:00 pm to finish, 5-6 days a week pending on the business needs
• Compensation: Base Salary + bonus + tips, TBD on experience

Qualifications

• 7+ years fine dining restaurant management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is a strong asset.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail
• Strong computer & software program skills including MS office.
• Experience is POS is strongly preferred, bonus if you are familiar with Touchbistro.
• Must have food handler permit and liquor serving license.
