- This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by providing Human Resources services to all employees. This position organizes, maintains and updates HRIS information and provides support on a wide variety of HR programs such as benefits, compensation, talent acquisition and employee events.
Talent Acquisition:
- Sends Change of Status forms in Adobe Sign.
- Benefits/Compensation:
- Updates and creates job descriptions in Performance Manager.
- Monitor Weekend Option Contracts with upcoming expiration dates and send renewal contracts monthly.
- Responsible for initiating COBRA paperwork for terminated and ineligible employees. Assists with mailing of COBRA paperwork as requested.
- Opens Benefit Enrollment windows for employees becoming eligible for benefits by a Change of Status.
- General:
- Oversees the termination process, which includes processing terminations in HRP, ending insurance benefits, obtaining final evaluations, checking for outstanding balances after termination, and creating termination reports. Identifies and implements processes and procedures to ensure the termination process aligns with compliance requirements.
- Accurately enters signed Change of Status forms to HRP and provides an FTE change report for each pay period.
- Facilitate and track CEU reimbursements and Tuition Reimbursements.
- Track and collect payments due to Mercy for unfulfilled contracts for Tuition Reimbursement, Signing Bonus, Relocation Bonus, Retention Bonus, Training Agreements, Scholarships, Loan Repayment, and other agreements as applicable.
- Run/create reports to support internal and external data requests.
- Update Reporting Structure in HRP as needed.
- Assign access to managers in Authorization Manager.
- Audits/updates DIA Direct Care Worker Registry (DCWR) on a monthly basis. Adds new hires to DCWR as they are hired/transfer to eligible positions.
- Monitors Streamline Verify on a monthly basis and follows up on potential matches as they occur.
- Provides coverage for the Front Desk and prints ID Badges as scheduled or otherwise requested.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills required, including the ability to interact with tact and diplomacy in both written and verbal communication.
- Effectively interact and work collaboratively with both external and internal customers and represent Mercy in a positive manner and as the employer of choice.
- Ability to resource, analyze and prepare information in an organized and concise manner.
- Proficient in use of HRIS and MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Organizational/time management skills, with the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Must be comfortable speaking or presenting in small or large groups.
- Professional Experience
- Human Resources experience preferred.
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related degree preferred.
