The Role
The CFO serves as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, responsible for the financial strength, performance, and long-term sustainability of the organization.
This leader will oversee all financial and key administrative functions while helping drive decisions that position the organization for continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership across finance, revenue cycle, patient access, HIM, case management, and supply chain
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, aligning resources with strategic priorities
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls
- Drive performance improvement across revenue cycle, cost structure, and operational efficiency
- Present financial insights and strategy to the Board of Trustees
- Build and develop a high-performing, accountable finance team
- Partner with leadership to identify growth opportunities, service line expansion, and strategic partnerships
- Serve as a trusted advisor in navigating the evolving healthcare landscape

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) preferred
- CPA or equivalent designation preferred
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Hospital Healthcare financial leadership experience required
- Experience in community-based, rural, or independent systems strongly preferred (50-200 bed size hospital/multi-site clinics)
