Job description

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a 3 to 5 year Associate in the Litigation Practice group of our Fort Lauderdale office. This is a full-time position based in our Fort Lauderdale office.
What Your Day May Look Like
  • Manage and support all phases of complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts
  • Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions
  • Conduct and defend depositions, including expert witnesses
  • Lead and manage written discovery and e-discovery processes
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Work closely with clients to develop case strategy and provide practical business-oriented advice

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience at a law firm or clerkship + firm combination
  • Significant experience in complex commercial, corporate, financial institution, real estate, land use, construction, and securities matters, including class action defense, is a plus
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience practicing in federal and state court
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and take ownership of cases
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Admission to the Florida Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Client-service mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment and strategic thinking

  • Federal judicial clerkship experience
