We’re looking for an Entry Level Project Manager to join our GBA Facility Services team. This role is critical to supporting the Senior Project Manager while independently overseeing assigned projects from planning through closeout. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor in both office and field environments, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and exceed customer expectations.


What You’ll Do
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in achieving annual company and department objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with GBA Facility Services safety protocols while meeting or exceeding annual safety goals.
  • Review and report weekly job progress, manpower allocations, and job costs during Directors’ staff meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while representing GBA Facility Services professionally.
  • Develop business by securing additional work from existing clients.
  • Assist with estimating efforts, including site walk-throughs, scope reviews, and cost estimation.
  • Mission critical project experience is a plus.
  • Travel to and from job sites as needed to support field operations.
  • Operating a motor vehicle on behalf of the company as an essential function of the role.

Assist with Project Execution by:

  • Managing project schedules, manpower, equipment, tools, and materials.
    Coordinating submittals with support from the Estimating Department.
  • Supporting Project Foremen with RFIs, change orders, and required documentation.
  • Advising and assisting Superintendents and Foremen to improve efficiency and communication.
  • Ensuring all project documentation (plans, specs, RFIs, change orders) is organized and maintained.

Optimize Resource Management by:

  • Assigning and adjusting manpower based on project needs.
  • Monitoring productivity and proactively addressing performance concerns.
  • Promoting a professional, productive, and cooperative job site culture.
  • Mentoring Superintendents, Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentices through technical guidance.

Ensure Effective Job Oversight by:

  • Reviewing Foremen’s daily logs for accuracy and completeness (weather, safety, progress, crew details, issues).
  • Conducting weekly job progress reviews with Project Foremen.
  • Collaborating with leadership to minimize overhead costs and validate schedule estimates.

Facilitate Customer Relations by:

  • Attending progress meetings, inspections, and final close-out meetings.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for project communication and issue resolution.

Support Billing & Review Processes by:

  • Completing billing accurately and on time.
  • Conducting post-project reviews and follow-up training as needed.
  • Participating in employee performance reviews with the Senior Project Manager and Directors.
  • Act as a professional ambassador for GBA Facility Services when interacting with general contractors, engineers, architects, property managers, and owners.

What You Bring
  • 2-5 years of Project Management experience within electrical or mechanical projects. Mission critical or complex project experience preferred.
  • Experience managing construction or facility services projects from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and project management best practices.
  • Ability to mentor field leadership and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience coordinating project documentation, schedules, manpower, and costs.

Succession & Leadership

  • Acts as a backup to the Senior Project Manager as assigned.
  • Mentor and supports Superintendents, Project Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentice Electricians.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Follow the GBA Facility Services Project Manager Manual.
  • Ensure all work aligns with GBA Facility Services’ high Safety and Quality Standards.

Travel
  • This position requires occasional travel (2-3 times a month on average)
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
