Job description

Job Title: Table Games Floor Person

Shift: VARIED (Fulltime)

Location: Varied
Department: Table Games
Reports To: Pit Supervisor

Summary
Observes up to eight (8) gaming tables to preserve game integrity and ensure excellent customer service by monitoring games in assigned areas. Preserves the integrity of the games with respect to employee and customer compliance with applicable rules/procedures. Ensures a pleasant and protected area for customers.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate strong guest service skills by providing guests with a pleasant gaming experience by being professional, friendly, and courteous.
  • Creates an atmosphere of hospitality and friendliness toward guests.
  • Makes eye contact and greets the guest by first name, if known, upon arriving at the table and thanks the guest for playing when they leave the table.
  • Understands and complies with department, company and gaming regulatory policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Responsible for promoting the Salt River Rewards Club and accurately rating guests in their section.
  • Reports all significant player rating sessions to the Pit Supervisor
  • Immediately notifies Pit Supervisor/ on customer related issues. Ensures that the Pit Supervisor/is fully briefed about all problems and situations.
  • Continually observe games in progress for possible irregularities.
  • Ensures accuracy of Table Games inventory when opening and closing games.
  • Knowledge of dealer procedures and ensures they are being adhered to.
  • Informs Pit Supervisor of any deviation from standard dealing procedures.
  • Relays pertinent information regarding daily business to incoming relief.
  • Assists with training new dealers to comply with Table Games policies and procedures.
  • Attends all required training.
  • Observes and reports suspicious activity, of either guest or employees, as defined under Title 31 regulation.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, by attending Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training, provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management and outlined in the Title 31 Minimum Internal Controls.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year Blackjack dealing experience required.
  • One (1) year dealing roulette strongly preferred.
  • One (1) year dealing craps strongly preferred.
  • One (1) year table games supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Must possess good writing and math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
  • Must have the ability to perform duties in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must demonstrate reliability and flexibility in work schedule and be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed.
  • Superior guest service skills required.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to secondary smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
