Position overview 

RoomIt by CWT is seeking  a qualified candidate who will be responsible for executing against a variety of key Hotel projects from initiation to closure in accordance with established company policies and contracted deliverables. Core project will be related to client RoomIt channel integrations, but other project coverage may be required.  Projects could be cross-functional and require global alignment requiring close collaboration with peers and business partners across Hotels and other business units. This position will also collaborate with Product and Technology, and sales division to ensure there is aligned prioritization based on client impact and revenue potential. Strong attention to detail is imperative.

 

Position Description 

  • Using appropriate project management tools, lead the planning, coordination, management and controls for key projects and initiatives working with all relevant stakeholders - often leading technical resolution and supporting client escalation.   

  • Manage and facilitate successful collaboration between project team and various departments, mitigate communication gaps among the teams and stakeholders, provide direction and support as needed. 

  • Manage of all project-related activities and ensure that scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders. 

  • Constantly monitor and communicate the progress of project delivery and ensure timely and effective communication of project status in terms of cost, forecast, schedule and assessment of risks/issues to stakeholders and executives.  

  • Promote disciplined project management models across CWT Hotel team and provide training for employees as necessary.  

  • Create project management templates and methods that evolve the Global Distribution team. 

  • Ensure the framework, related tools and processes are maintained to always be current. 

  • Take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments and ensure high quality and on-time delivery.   

  • Identify and address all project risks to leadership and escalate accordingly. 

  • Collaborate with P&T on issue resolution and development prioritization.  

  • Act as an extension of our sales and client facing teams for some of our largest clients, handling integration objections and gaining approvals. 

  • Monitor RoomIt Digital team capacity alongside expanding integration requirements.  

  • Maintain integration collateral toolkits - demos, client sales tool kit, reference materials, roadmaps, process documents, etc.  

  • Maintain a deep level of OBT product expertise, including specific site knowledge and demonstration capabilities. 

  • Understand OBTs from customer front end to site setup administration.   

  • Act as a liaison for interpreting data, answering questions, and resolving problems  

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience in a project manager role OR 10 year's project management work experience.  

  • Project Management certifications preferred.   

  • Previous experience with virtual and global teams preferred. 

  • Travel industry knowledge preferred with technical systems (OBT) knowledge a bonus.  

  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Smartsheet, Excel and PowerPoint and project management tools. 

  • Minneapolis based is preferred but not required.  

  • Ability to manage projects - timelines, scope documents, executive level presentation and reports.   

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to track large amounts of detailed information.  

  • Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail.  

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences. 

  • General understanding of the client lifecycle functions, including sales, implementation and ongoing services 

  • Good critical thinking skills.  

  • Strong customer service orientation.  

  • Self-motivated.  

  • Ability to influence without direct authority. 

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.  

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, and gain cooperation from departments who do not directly report to the Operations group but are needed for project success. 

  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels. 

 

Occasional travel may be required
