Job description
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead Concept, Pre-Feasibility (PFS), Feasibility (FS), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies and detailed engineering (DE) for Minerals and Metals projects.
This role is critical to ensuring technically sound, cost-effective, and execution-ready outcomes that align with client objectives. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, structured planning, and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
This opportunity supports the growth of our M&M business located in Southwest US - Nevada or Arizona is preferred.
Your roleLead and manage studies and engineering projects for Minerals and Metals projects.
Oversee cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines.
Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Conduct structured trade-off studies and risk assessments to support decision-making.
Ensure technical quality and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Engage in process design, equipment selection, vendor coordination, and foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in project execution and study methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Master's degree or PhD being an asset.
10-15 years of experience in Minerals and Metals industry.
Being a member of the Ontario and/or Quebec Order of Engineers is an asset.
5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large- and small-scale projects within Mining and Metals, with bilingual capabilities (e.g., English, French) being an asset.
Strong understanding of process flowsheets, equipment integration, constructability, and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, @Risk), as well as familiarity with SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, and other engineering software.
Operational and site experience in mineral processing plants, knowledge of project safety standards, and the ability to drive safety culture, along with excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
