Pay: $160, 000.00 - $180, 000.00 per yearJob description: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be involved in all financial affairs of the organization particularly the agency s accounting department, multiple business units, endowments, GAAP practices compliance, Audits and Compliance, Insurance Policies, staff development, technology improvements, board interaction/presentations, and growth support. This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer for all aspects of the position and will direct accounting staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position is directly responsible for all accounting functions, financial reporting, comprehensive financial reviews, financial technology tools to support an effective, paperless flow, and oversight of accounting system controls and reports, fixed asset schedules, monthly close reconciliations, planning, forecasting, budgeting, fiscal compliance, implement appropriate liability insurance policies, annual financial audit and other financial audit requests, and other requirements as necessary. .The position will support annual income tax filings, purchasing, services, and revenues activities for the organizations multiple different business locations and services.
The ideal candidate will communicate with the agency President in order to maintain current financial information and to assist management in the decision-making process, develop and maintain appropriate accounting systems for the agency, and institute and maintain appropriate procedures and controls.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- A minimum of 8 years experience in management oversight of accounting and financial controls and teams, required- Experience in non-profit management, required- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, required- Master s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business/Non-Profit/Public Administration, preferred- CPA certification, required- Commitment and alignment to the companys mission- Extraordinary MS office skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel; Accounting and Fund-Raising Software/Systems- Effective mentorship, professional development, teambuilding, and coaching skills and experience- Proven hands--on experience with extraordinary financial reporting analysis focusing on accounting capabilities in multiple environments including forecasting, expense oversight, fundraising predictions, and expansion- Vendor management oversight- Experience with KPI and weekly dashboard creation- Solid understanding of GAAP and IRS regulations- Effective in managing and implementing change in a diverse team-oriented environment.- Results-oriented, client-focused experience in problem solving with management and front-line staff- Experience with process re-engineering and paperless process implementation- Collaborative approach to budget and fiscal planning, development, monitoring, reporting and compliance, and developing plans to reconcile a variety of complex billing rules.All of Senior Management and Managers are required to actively participate Milk and Honey, Matzah Mitzvah and other similar events.
