Title: Desktop Engineer
Location:Louisville, KY
Duration - 6-12 Months

Introduction
We are seeking a skilled L2 Desktop Support Engineer to join our team and provide advanced technical support to end users. In this role, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalate complex problems, and ensure timely resolution to maintain optimal end-user productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and macOS
  • Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and system management tools
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with common business applications such as Office 365, email clients, and collaboration tools
  • Experience in documenting troubleshooting steps and creating knowledge base articles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with L3 support and other IT teams
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Provide second-level technical support to users across the organization for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues efficiently
  • Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and patch deployments on user devices
  • Manage Active Directory tasks such as user account creation, password resets, and permissions management
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common business applications
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees by preparing devices and access rights
  • Monitor and maintain IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Provide remote and on-site support as required
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives related to desktop support
