Assistant General Manager:

Responsible for assisting the General Manager in daily restaurant operations. Ensuring the overall quality and integrity of 801 Restaurant Group. Core responsibilities include team performance, quality assurance, effective cost controls and development, training and retention of the FOH team, to ensure the restaurant meets financial and operating goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with the General Manager on daily service operations, staffing, and event planning.
Coordinate with the Chef's on daily event menus, special requests, and guest needs
Assist with training, and continued development of the FOH service team
Become proficient in all financial operations including ordering, inventory management and accounting procedures
Work closely with the Bar Manager on menu development, recipes and training of bar products
Provides immediate supervision of all front of house staff
Oversees staff performance and productivity
Participates in employee hiring and discipline
Keep employee records organized and up to date
Assists in orders to ensure that the proper amount of quality product is on hand
Fluent in BOH operations, food quality and be able to assist the Chef's with expeditor duties when needed
Assist the General Manager with keeping a high standard of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained through all Front of House areas at all times
Assist General Manager to prepare necessary data for applicable parts of the budget ; pour costs, labor costs and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are met
Must welcome guests with genuine hospitality and a commitment to the local community.
All managers must be able to step behind the bar and execute cocktails and assist in all aspects of service

Requirements:

2+ years of management experience in an upscale casual dining or fine dining environment
Strong wine, spirit and cocktail knowledge a must
Experience in a steakhouse is a plus
The ability to build relationships with guests and problem solve guest issues
Excellent attention to detail
