Position Summary
Position Summary:
Pasos Resource Center (PRC) is centrally located on the UNM-Valencia Campus and provides academic support and retention services. The Pasos Resource Center front desk serves as an entry point for: Academic Advising Services, Peer Mentor Program, STEM Tutoring (math and science), and the Writing Center which offers tutoring for any type of writing.
The Pasos Resource Center Receptionist is a crucial position as the first and main point of contact for those who are visiting or seeking services and support. A Work Study Award is required.
Pasos Resource Center Receptionists are expected to:
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service in person, on the phone, and written form.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, and a diverse student population.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and protect the confidentiality of students, faculty, and staff as required by FERPA regulations.
  • Greet each person entering the Pasos Resource Center space in a cordial manner.
  • Ensure students sign in and sign out of TracCloud and maintain the TutorTrac log listing for all services.
  • Monitor and maintain Bookings appointments, Student Hub, TracCloud, check-ins in Target-X, and navigate Outlook calendar.

Prepare displays and signage for the Pasos Resource Center. Maintain an appropriate workspace, including but not limited to cleanliness, secure storage of private information. Support and aid in miscellaneous clerical work and data entry as assigned. Attend and participate in all required training that pertain to the position.

Applicants must:
Be a UNM-Valencia or UNM Main Campus student
Have and maintain a cumulative GPA 2.5 or higher at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Valued, but not required, in applicants:
Familiarity and skill with Canva, Zoom, MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Bookings, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.),
Proficiency in Spanish will be given special consideration
