Job Description
Official Job Title: Solution Delivery Engineer
Terms: 6+ Month Contract
Location: Denver, CO (downtown)
The Solution Delivery Engineer's role is to develop high-level design plans for the overall logical and technical solution architecture in service to the Solution Delivery Team.
This individual will provide technical leadership, solution definition, solution integration, and technical consulting, from strategic decision making down to the project planning detail level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical solution engineering, architecture guidance, and leadership in service to the Solution Delivery Management Process.
• Consult with and guide the Solution Delivery Manager in day-to-day decision making and planning. Develop full understanding of standards and best practices and proactively engage stakeholders and support resources in service to implementation and integration objectives.
• Assist in developing and maintaining processes, procedures and monitoring related to sustainment activities for ensuring optimum service levels within all environments.
• Integrally work and interact with network, storage, server infrastructure, and other enterprise service support teams to deploy and ensure optimal operation of environments.
• Support the Solution Delivery Management processes from Design and provisioning request fulfillment.
Qualifications
TECHNICAL AND SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Experience in at least two areas: Networking, Storage, Servers, Middleware, iOS, and Infrastructure
• Fundamental knowledge of networking and security concepts and principles.
• ITIL Background and experience (no cert. required)
• Strong working knowledge and experience with as many technologies including: VMware ESX/Windows/Red Hat Linux/AIX/Oracle for platform
• Working knowledge and / or experience with multiple, middle-tier products with as many technologies as possible, but not limited to: Git, Ant, Switchyard, JON, Artifactory, Jenkins, Data Grid, JBOSS, Camel, Splunk, Glassfish, Java/JDK/JMS, Active MQ, Zookeeper.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills using Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and other tools as required.
• Highly developed communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong initiative and drive
• Must be a self-starter ready to multi-task, assess and contribute in short order.
• Must quickly establish rapport and trust with multiple stakeholders, service providers, and constituencies.
