Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Wholesale Operations Director to lead mortgage operations in a fast-paced, broker-driven environment. This role oversees the full wholesale loan lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence, team performance, compliance, and exceptional broker service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop processing, underwriting, and closing teams.
  • Manage loan pipelines to meet funding timelines and SLAs.
  • Oversee broker-facing operations, escalations, and service delivery.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with Sales, Underwriting, and Secondary teams to ensure seamless loan execution.
  • Ensure compliance with investor guidelines and mortgage regulations.
  • Monitor quality control results and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of wholesale mortgage operations experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a wholesale lending environment.
  • Experience managing broker-facing operations and third-party originations.
  • Strong knowledge of wholesale loan processing, underwriting, closing, and funding.
  • Experience with Encompass or similar LOS platforms.
  • Solid understanding of TRID, RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and Fair Lending regulations.
  • Ability to work onsite in Brea, CA.
Preferred
  • Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA Jumbo, and Non-QM products.
  • Proven success improving operational efficiency and turnaround times.
  • Experience leading teams of 8+ employees.
