Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $128,084 - $169,711.30. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

The Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize material flow for all warehouse operations, including receiving, repack, putaway to storage, replenishment to production, and outbound/shipping, with a focus on safety, on-time delivery, and material availability.
This role will collaborate with other departments to develop strategies regarding safety, labor management, and inventory control and accuracy. This role will also provide leadership for all team member policies, training, and development to develop a High Performance Work Team environment.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Execution
  • Develop, implement, and manage all warehouse operations strategies and improvement roadmaps to optimize all warehouse operations, including receiving, repack, putaway, replenishment, and outbound shipping, without compromising safety for all team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments/functions to ensure warehouse strategies align with other improvement roadmaps.
  • Manage and monitor KPIs, such as on-time delivery, operational efficiency, and inventory accuracy. Implement/refine operational dashboards where appropriate.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance visibility, reduce lead times, improve material availability to external and internal customers.
  • Leverage and improve technology, data analytics and automation to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for safety, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Financial & Cost Management
  • Manage the department budget, identifying resource costs, equipment costs, and ensuring improvement projects are delivered within budget.
  • Manage labor and expense budgeting, forecasting and cost reduction/controls to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure financial accountability by tracking cost performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Leadership & People Management:
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, with a hands-on work style.
  • Role model appropriate and professional workplace behaviors, address/mediate conflicts to restore harmony, and support a positive, healthy and inclusive workplace culture in accordance with S&C's mission, vision, values and guiding principles.
  • Manage departmental administrative team member processes, such as recruitment, induction, absence management, performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and workforce/succession planning.
  • Proactively establish, monitor, and hold team members accountable to clear responsibilities and accountabilities, provide ongoing performance feedback, both positive and developmental, address performance gaps in a timely manner, recognize and reward achievements, and initiate decisions for corrective actions and terminations where required.

Education & Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field; or relevant experience
  • 7+ years of experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing and/or warehousing environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within a Supply Chain & Logistics function, managing both salaried and hourly work teams.
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge of warehousing concepts, such as: Powered Industrial Vehicles, Scan/Tablet Tools, Storage Methodologies, Slotting, Replenishment Methodologies, and PFEP.
  • Working understanding of Lean, CI, and Operational Excellence tools, such as Material Flow, 5S, and Visual Management.
  • Sound leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, mentor, and delegate to deliver results, build teams and capabilities, embrace change, drive decisions and results, embrace culture and inclusion, and exhibit integrity.
  • Demonstrated success in improving business processes, material flow, and inventory accuracy.
  • Sound business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Great communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation) with a persuasive ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from management to support staff.
  • Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, including the flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Great organizational, planning, and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources and juggling key demands.
  • Working experience using ERP systems, including WMS.
  • Great computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
  • Sound working experience using Oracle EBS and WMS.
  • Experience using advanced analytical tools, such as Microsoft Power Query and PowerBI
